Why it is used

Pregabalin oral capsule is approved to treat:

Neuropathic pain caused by damaged nerves due to diabetes, spinal cord injury or spinal cord injury in adults
Fibromyalgia (pain all over the body) in adults
Partial onset seizures in people aged 17 and older* when taken with other seizure medications

How it works

How long does it last?

The effects of pregabalin should last as long as you continue to take it as prescribed. If your doctor recommends stopping pregabalin, the medicine will usually stay in your system for 30 to 35 hours after your last dose.

It is possible to continue to feel the effects of pregabalin after you stop taking the medication, especially during this 30 to 35 hour period. The medicine may also be detected in your urine during this time and for some time.
